Event Description
Every classroom includes learners with different strengths, interests, and ways of making sense of ideas. Some benefit from visuals, others from discussion, movement, writing, or creating. Universal Design for Learning (UDL) helps teachers plan for this variability from the start without turning teaching into an unrealistic set of demands.
In this practical, hands-on workshop, you’ll explore how UDL creates equitable opportunities for success by offering flexible ways for students to access learning, stay engaged, and demonstrate understanding. You’ll learn simple strategies for presenting content in multiple ways, building meaningful choice into lessons, and providing motivating options for showing learning.
Grounded in real classroom examples, this session makes UDL feel concrete and achievable rather than theoretical. You’ll see how small, intentional design choices can significantly increase participation, persistence, and confidence while maintaining high expectations for all learners.
You’ll leave with clear ideas and ready-to-use strategies you can apply immediately to help…
